What are the top three qualities of a great leader?
I believe the top three qualities of a great leader are their ability to implement respect, communication and gratitude into the workplace. A great leader treats those who work with them with the same respect they would expect in return. This creates better connection and communication within the team, which in turns provides for better results for both the clients and our company as a whole. As the company achieves more, it is important to show gratitude and appreciation for those who helped the company get there.
What makes you a great leader?
What makes me a great leader is my communication skills, and my ability to provide an example for my employees. While I have many duties as an executive that require my attention, I make sure to touch base with each of my employees on a one-on-one level weekly so that we keep an open line of communication. Additionally, I created a communal workspace for both myself and my team work so that we work in sort of a hive, with the ability for the group as a whole to easily weigh in on any client’s situation.
How did you display leadership when the Covid-19 pandemic hit?
When the pandemic hit we had to make a lot of adjustments to both our internal structure as a company, and also with our relationship with our clients. Our in-house team shifted to virtually working from home. As things have started to open back up, we have moved back to in-person work with options for virtual work when necessary due to Covid-19 exposure.
What are some mandates you have created in your workplace as people start to return to work?
As we have started to shift back to in-person work, we have had several meetings with our staff about transparency with the company when it comes to Covid-19. We encourage social distancing and honesty when it comes to exposure. Virtual work options are still available for those who have been exposed to someone, or contracted Covid-19, until they are able to provide proof of a negative test.
What are some diversity, equity and inclusion programs that you have implemented at your company?
We have a very diverse group of people who work for Embark Marketing from many different cultures and backgrounds. We strive to hire people who are diverse to create a balance within the company.
